Warming Chicken Soup with Celery

The perfect warming chicken soup with celery recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1,5 kg Chicken
  • 2 piece Bay leaves
  • 1 tsp Pepper White
  • 2 piece Carrots
  • 150 g Celery
  • 150 g Leek
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 4 piece Cloves
  • 5 piece Parsley stalks
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Freshly grated nutmeg
  • 0,5 bunch Chives
  1. Clean the vegetables and cut them into large pieces. Do not peel the onion, but wash, cut in half and sprinkle with cloves. Wash the chicken carefully inside and out.
  2. In an intermediate step, bring the chicken to the boil in water and then drain and rinse again after two to three minutes. Put the chicken back in fresh water and skim off the foam after 20 minutes. Add the spices and simmer for 40 minutes
  3. Add the vegetables. Let the soup simmer for an hour and a half. Then season the soup with nutmeg. Do not add salt and pepper until ten minutes before the end of the cooking time.
  4. Remove the chicken and vegetables from the broth, cut into small pieces and put back into the broth.
  5. Chop the fresh chives and serve the hot chicken soup with the chives.
