Chilli Buns

The perfect chilli buns recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Flour
  • 1 packet Yeast
  • 250 ml Milk and water mixed lukewarm
  • 3 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 tablespoon Herbs of Provence
  • 1 tablespoon Chilli pods, dried
  • 2 tablespoon Natural yoghurt
  1. Mix the yeast with the lukewarm liquid and let stand briefly
  2. Mix the flour with salt, oil, herbs and chilli, add the yeast mixture and knead vigorously. If necessary, add a little flour until the dough no longer sticks.
  3. Let the dough rise for 30 minutes until it has visibly risen.
  4. Knead again vigorously.
  5. For easy processing, halve the dough and shape one half into a long roll and divide it into 25 small pieces, then roll them into small balls.
  6. Place on a baking sheet and let rise for another 10 minutes. Then brush the balls with yogurt.
  7. Bake on the middle rack at 180 ° C for approx. 20 minutes, until the balls are light brown.
