Catalan Apple Cream Cake with Warm Chocolate
The perfect catalan apple cream cake with warm chocolate recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Dough:
- 3 Cup Flour
- 2 Cup Sugar
- 1 Cup Oil
- 1 Cup Soda
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 1 packet Baking powder
- 3 piece Eggs
Covering:
- 8 piece Apples green
- 2 piece Squeezed lemons
- 3 packet Vanilla pudding
- Sugar
- 1 liter Milk
- 8 sheet Gelatin
- 250 g Whipped cream
- Chocolate shavings
- Belgian chocolate
Dough:
- Mix all ingredients and place on a greased tray. Bake at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes. The dough must not turn brown, otherwise it will lose its airiness. Let the dough cool down well.
Covering:
- Peel and grate the apples and immediately pour lemon juice over them to prevent them from turning brown. Then steam the apple mixture (with juice) in a non-stick pan for about 6-8 minutes. In the meantime, cook pudding with sugar. Here it is important that you – unlike usual – take 1 liter of milk and 3 packets of pudding so that the mixture becomes firmer!
- Mix the pudding mixture and apple mixture. Stir in the softened gelatine leaves. Then put everything on the dough and put in a cool place. Just before serving, whip the cream until stiff and spread it on the cake. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings.
- Heat Belgian chocolate in a water bath and serve in a warm bowl.
