Catalan Apple Cream Cake with Warm Chocolate

The perfect catalan apple cream cake with warm chocolate recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Dough:

  • 3 Cup Flour
  • 2 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Oil
  • 1 Cup Soda
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 3 piece Eggs

Covering:

  • 8 piece Apples green
  • 2 piece Squeezed lemons
  • 3 packet Vanilla pudding
  • Sugar
  • 1 liter Milk
  • 8 sheet Gelatin
  • 250 g Whipped cream
  • Chocolate shavings
  • Belgian chocolate

Dough:

  1. Mix all ingredients and place on a greased tray. Bake at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes. The dough must not turn brown, otherwise it will lose its airiness. Let the dough cool down well.

Covering:

  1. Peel and grate the apples and immediately pour lemon juice over them to prevent them from turning brown. Then steam the apple mixture (with juice) in a non-stick pan for about 6-8 minutes. In the meantime, cook pudding with sugar. Here it is important that you – unlike usual – take 1 liter of milk and 3 packets of pudding so that the mixture becomes firmer!
  1. Mix the pudding mixture and apple mixture. Stir in the softened gelatine leaves. Then put everything on the dough and put in a cool place. Just before serving, whip the cream until stiff and spread it on the cake. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings.
  1. Heat Belgian chocolate in a water bath and serve in a warm bowl.
