- This is the third part of my cucumber coping today. Now the 7 giant cucumbers have been processed. For our dinner I cooked a warm cucumber side dish.
- Peel, halve and core the cucumber (I’ve already had enough practice with this today, grin). Cut the cucumber into finger-thick slices. Peel and finely dice the onion. Heat some oil in a saucepan and lightly sweat the onions. Add the cucumber and stir briefly.
- Pour in the cream and season the cucumber vigorously. Since they hardly have a taste of their own, they can handle a lot of good spices. Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Then stir in the sour cream and simmer for another 5 minutes, the cucumbers may still have a bit of bite.
- If you have, you can sprinkle with fresh chives and then serve the cucumbers. Today with the chicken I seasoned the cucumbers stronger, we mostly eat these vegetables with fish and I only use salt, pepper and dill. I wish you a good appetite.
- TIP 5: Sweat 100g of diced ham together with the onions and then continue cooking as described above. That adds flavor.
