3 in 1 – Sponge Cake

- 250 g Butter
- 250 g Sugar
- 4 Eggs
- 250 g Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 4 tbsp Rum
- 1 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp Milk
- 3 tbsp Ground hazelnuts or almonds
- 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- Icing sugar for dusting
- Fat and crumbs for the mold
- Beat the soft butter and sugar until frothy, gradually stir in the eggs. Mix flour and baking powder, sieve on top and stir in together with 2 tablespoons of rum. Thirds the dough. Grease and crumble a loaf pan, then pour in a portion of dough and spread a little on the edge.
- Mix the second portion of the dough with cocoa and milk, fill into the mold and spread a little over the edge again. Stir the nuts or almonds and rum into the rest of the batter, then fill the mold. Place the cake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 60 minutes. to bake. After 15 minutes of baking time, make a 1 cm deep incision with a knife in the middle – lengthways … then it bakes more beautifully high!
- After baking, let the cake cool on a wire rack and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
