Spicy Hash Browns

- 2 Onions
- 2 Apples
- 2 el Starch flour, e.g. corn Starch
- 1 el Flour, conventional
- 1 el Marjoram, dried
- 1 tl Sugar
- 0,5 tl Pepper, ground black
- 0,5 tl Sea-Salt
- 0,5 tl Nutmeg, grated
- 1 Bowl of apple sauce
- 1 Slice of dark bread
- 1 Bowl of mixed salad
- 2 el Sugar and cinnamon mixture
- Peel raw potatoes, onions, apples …. I don’t rub the raw vegetables, I use a spiral peeler … but that is actually irrelevant .. you can also grate, of course .. and make potatoes, apples, onions thin spirals ..
- I put all the spiral vegetables on a board and cut them again with a knife a little smaller but only roughly .. then I put all the vegetables in a large sieve, because the excess water should be separated off ..
- When the liquid is largely lost, I mix the vegetables with all the specified spices .. I also add flour and starch and mix everything well. I heat the rapeseed oil in a pan and fry the rösti until golden brown … I give about 2-3 tablespoons of rösti dough for each rösti.
- First of all, I had already made a colorful raw vegetable salad .. so I had a salad, apple puree and a slice of dark bread with the hash browns … I liked to sprinkle the hash browns with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon … I also enjoyed a glass of fresh light beer .. or a nice apple juice ..
