Hash Browns Hot and Spicy

The perfect hash browns hot and spicy recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

spices

  • 2 Carrots
  • 1 Leek rod
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Chicory
  • 1 Clove of garlic
  • 150 gr Feta sheep cheese
  • 2 el Flour-Spelled or something else
  • 1 el Dried thyme
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper
  • 1 pinch Freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 tl Chilli powder
  • 1 tl Caraway seeds

added

  • Apple compote
  • Mixture of sugar-cinnamon-chilli powder
  • Rapeseed oil for frying
  1. First I cleaned the vegetables and grated them on commercially available rasps or graters .. I came together in a large bowl .. I added the flour and all the specified spices .. the garlic was chopped very finely and came to the mass, like also the finely crumbled feta .. I mixed this mixture well with my hands and let it steep for 20 minutes ..
  2. After the brewing time, I poured off the excess liquid..I left the rapeseed oil out in a wide pan..I put the whole pan down with the mass and pressed firmly with my hands .. the mass was now frying on a high flame about 5 minutes .. then I put a lid on the mass .. I turned the stove to medium temperature and fried the first side for 15 minutes (with the lid !!.)
  3. Now the rösti had to be overturned and on the other side roasted again for about 10 minutes .. I served myself the rösti with apple compote and the cinnamon-chilli mixture.
