Gyros Casserole with Goat Cheese

The perfect gyros casserole with goat cheese recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 600 g Pork schnitzel
  • 4 st. Fresh onion
  • Thyme
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Gyros spice
  • 100 ml Whipped cream
  • 150 g Cream cheese
  • Salt pepper
  • 150 g Feta – cheese
  • 2 tbsp Creme fraiche Cheese
  1. Wash the meat, pat dry and cut into small pieces. Peel the onion and cut into wedges. Mix the meat and onions with the thyme, gyros spice and oil well and let it steep for 1-2 hours.
  2. Fry the meat vigorously in the pan. Stir in 1/4 liter, cream and processed cheese and bring to the boil. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Put the gyros with sauce in a baking dish and bake at 175 ° for 30 minutes.
  3. Crumble the feta cheese and mix with the creme fraiche and spread on the gyros. Then put in the oven for another 10 minutes. There was also rice and a salad 🙂
