Almond Biscuits from Turkey
The perfect almond biscuits from turkey recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 Eggs
- 300 g Flour
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 1 packet Baking powder
- 170 g Sugar
- 25 g Soft butter
- 1 a cup Yogurt turkish
- 200 g Ground almonds
- 5 tbsp Sunflower oil
- 0,5 Lemon untreated
- 100 g Skinned almonds
- Separate an egg. Set the egg yolks aside and place the egg white with the second whole, beaten egg in a large bowl. Mix the eggs with the sugar and Turkish yogurt until the sugar has dissolved.
- Add the sunflower oil, then add the vanilla sugar and baking powder and continue stirring. Add the softened butter in pieces.
- Rub the lemon peel with a fine grater and add to the batter. Then add the almonds and finally the flour in portions and stir carefully. Wrap the dough in cling film and chill in the refrigerator for 60 minutes
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Divide pieces of dough about the size of a walnut and shape them into a ball between the palms of your hands (sprinkle with a little flour if the dough sticks too tight.) Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- Place an almond on each dough ball and press firmly. Mix the egg yolk with a little water and brush the almond balls with it.
- Bake the almond balls on the tray at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes. (makes 2 sheets!)
