Onion Roast My Way

The perfect onion roast my way recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 Roast beef
  • Mustard hot
  • Salt, pepper
  • 250 ml Beef broth
  • 3 size Onion
  • 1 El Tomato paste
  • 250 ml Red wine
  1. Plate the roast beef, cut a little on the edges with a knife (otherwise it will bulge when roasting) and coat one side with mustard, then season with salt and pepper. Heat some oil in a pan and fry the roast beef with the coated side first, then on the other side. Take out and deglaze the meat with the broth. Put the roast meat back in. Peel the onions in half and cut into strips that are not too thin. Heat some oil in a pan and brown the onion strips. Stir in tomato paste and deglaze with red wine, add to the roast and let simmer with a decker for about 1 hour. Whisk some red wine with a little flour and thicken with it.
