Trout with Lentils
The perfect trout with lentils recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 Trout
- 6 Discs Bacon
- Salt pepper
- Oil for frying

- 3 Spring onions
- 1 small pole Leek
- 1 small Carrot
- 100 g Red lenses
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste
- 300 ml Vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp Cream
- 2 tbsp Red wine vinegar
- Salt pepper
- Wash and clean trout and season inside and out with salt and pepper.
- Wrap each trout in 3 slices of bacon and fry on both sides in a pan with oil.
- Clean, wash and chop the vegetables.
- Put everything in a saucepan with a little oil and simmer for 2 – 3 minutes while stirring.
- Stir in the lentils, tomato paste and stock and cook covered for about 10 minutes.
- Add the sawdust and vinegar, salt, pepper and cook for another 4 – 5 minutes.
- Cover the lentils and let them swell for 2-3 minutes and season to taste again.
- Arrange the lentils with the fried trout on a plate.
