Fish: Homemade Fish Meatballs

The perfect fish: homemade fish meatballs recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Fish meatballs / fish cakes

  • 4 Fresh fish fillet – Tilapia –
  • 1 piece Roughly chopped onion
  • 1 old Ground leek pretzel
  • 2 piece Free range eggs
  • Parsley cut
  • Salt and bengal pepper
  • 2 tbsp Homemade vegetable broth a.m. Kb
  • Oil for frying

for the potato and carrot mash

  • 4 medium sized Potatoes
  • 3 medium sized Carrots
  • 30 g Butter
  • Salt
  • Nutmeg from the mill
  1. Cut the fish fillet into small pieces and put it in the food processor, add the coarsely chopped onions, the ground pretzel, the eggs, salt and pepper, the vegetable stock and the parsley, mix everything vigorously … do not make too fine.
  2. Then shape the meatballs and fry them in the oil.

Side dish: potatoes and carrot mash

  1. Cook the potatoes and carrots, peeled and washed, in salted water, drain, add the butter, mash well, season with nutmeg and a little salt.

Serving

  1. Place the mash on the plate with a ladle, put the fish ball / fish cakes / fish dumpling or whatever you want … on the plate and cut into slices.
