Hazelnut Macaroons – Christmas Cookies with Nuts

  • 400 g Powdered sugar
  • 450 g Ground hazelnuts / almonds
  • 200 g Whole hazelnuts
  • 100 g Quark
  1. Beat the egg whites into snow (with a pinch of salt). To test whether the egg white has been beaten firm enough, the bowl has to be tilted – if the egg white does not move, it is firm enough 🙂 Now fold in the powdered sugar and mix well. Put a small bowl aside (for decoration).
