Hazelnut Macaroons – Christmas Cookies with Nuts

- 6 Pc. Protein
- 400 g Powdered sugar
- 450 g Ground hazelnuts / almonds
- 200 g Whole hazelnuts
- 100 g Quark
- Beat the egg whites into snow (with a pinch of salt). To test whether the egg white has been beaten firm enough, the bowl has to be tilted – if the egg white does not move, it is firm enough 🙂 Now fold in the powdered sugar and mix well. Put a small bowl aside (for decoration).
- Mix the quark, powdered sugar and hazelnuts / almonds and fold in the egg white. Then place the macaroons on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Now put a white point on the macaroons and press a whole hazelnut into it.
- Bake at about 175 ° for 15-20 minutes until a light brown color appears.
