Jam: Winter Grits

The perfect jam: winter grits recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 750 g Frozen berry mix
  • 150 ml Mulled wine
  • 1 Organic orange
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 500 g Preserving sugar 2: 1
  1. Put the frozen berry mixture in a large saucepan and let it thaw, using a hand blender (or something like that) chop up the larger berries a little.
  2. Wash the orange and rub the peel.
  3. Add the orange peel, cinnamon stick, mulled wine and preserving sugar to the berries and stir well.
  4. Bring to a boil and let it boil for 3-4 minutes … and don’t forget to stir …
  5. Remove the cinnamon stick and fill it hot into glasses with twist-off lids.
  6. Place the jars on the lid for 5 minutes. Makes 4-8 glasses … depending on size.
