Four tips to melt marshmallows quickly
You can snack on marshmallows straight from the bag. Or you can use them in a recipe. For example for cookies, cakes, or fondant. If you want to use the marshmallows again, you usually have to melt them. However, it is not difficult!
- In the microwave: Use a bowl that has some room left in it, as the heated marshmallows will expand. Melt the marshmallows over high heat every 30 seconds while keeping an eye on them. Stir from time to time.
- In the oven: Put the marshmallows in an ovenproof dish and let them bake for five to ten minutes at 160°C on top and bottom heat. If you turn on the broil function in the last few minutes, the outer layer of the marshmallows will become crispy and lightly brown.
- On the Stove: Take a pot of water and bring it to a boil. Next, hang a melting bowl in the water and add the marshmallows. Remember to stir regularly!
- Over the Fire: Take a long stick and impale a marshmallow on the front end. Roast it slowly over the flames. Keep turning the stick to avoid burning the stick or marshmallow.
- Tip: Always spread some butter in the containers before adding the marshmallows. This makes them easier to solve in the end.
