The ingredients for your cream sauce

You need the following items for 400 ml sauce:

  • 30 grams of flour
  • 30 grams of butter
  • 250 ml beef broth
  • ½ glass of dry white wine
  • 100 ml whipping cream or kitchen cream
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • Salt, pepper, and lemon juice to taste

The preparation of your cream sauce

This sauce goes well with meat, vegetables, and pasta.

  • Melt the butter and add the flour, stirring constantly.
  • Stirring is extremely important to avoid lumps forming.
  • It is best to use a whisk and stir until the flour has combined with the butter.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the beef broth and white wine, stirring constantly.
  • Now add the tomato paste and stir it in.
  • Put the pot back on the stove and let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
  • Now add the sweet and sour cream.
  • You can then season the cream sauce with salt and pepper. A dash of lemon or some sherry gives the sauce a special kick.
  • Be creative and add mushrooms, capers, or parsley to taste.
