The ingredients for your cream sauce
You need the following items for 400 ml sauce:
- 30 grams of flour
- 30 grams of butter
- 250 ml beef broth
- ½ glass of dry white wine
- 100 ml whipping cream or kitchen cream
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 1 tsp tomato paste
- Salt, pepper, and lemon juice to taste
The preparation of your cream sauce
This sauce goes well with meat, vegetables, and pasta.
- Melt the butter and add the flour, stirring constantly.
- Stirring is extremely important to avoid lumps forming.
- It is best to use a whisk and stir until the flour has combined with the butter.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the beef broth and white wine, stirring constantly.
- Now add the tomato paste and stir it in.
- Put the pot back on the stove and let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
- Now add the sweet and sour cream.
- You can then season the cream sauce with salt and pepper. A dash of lemon or some sherry gives the sauce a special kick.
- Be creative and add mushrooms, capers, or parsley to taste.
