Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g cheese (Schabziger Stöckli)
  • 250 g butter, good (preferably very spreadable)
  • Chives, in fine rolls
  • Parsley, chopped
  • possibly beer

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Schabziger, just like my grandma used to make it

Let the butter soften slightly, then grate/crumble the Schabziger cheese into a bowl using a fine grater. Add the butter, chives, and parsley (to taste). Gently mix with a hand mixer. Knead by hand at the end, if desired. Done! Tastes best on fresh bread or with potatoes. TIP: My grandpa always added a splash of beer. That’s a matter of taste, though. I prefer it without, as I’m not a beer drinker.
