Pears with lumps

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg pear(s)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 small cinnamon stick(s)
  • 2 carnations
  • 250 ml apple or pear juice
  • 250 ml water
  • 1 pack of vanilla sauce powder
  • 125 g wheat flour
  • 100 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

sweet main course or dessert

Peel and core the pears, and cut them into fairly small cubes. Place them in a saucepan with the sugar, cinnamon stick, and cloves, then cover with a mixture of juice and water. Boil for about 10 minutes, not too soft. Mix the vanilla sauce powder with a little cold water or juice and stir into the pear compote. Bring to a boil briefly. For the lumps, mix the flour with milk, sugar, and egg to form a thick batter. Using a teaspoon, drop the batter, as small as possible, into the hot pear compote and simmer over low heat (about 10 minutes). Serve warm to hot in plates as a main course, or lukewarm in soup bowls or small bowls as a dessert. The above quantity is enough for 4 people as a main meal, or 6 to 8 servings as a dessert.
