Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 kg pork belly
  • 1 liter of vinegar
  • 1 liter of water
  • 1 tbsp, leveled salt,
  • 5 tbsp sugar, heaped
  • 2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp pepper, whole grains
  • 5 bay leaves
  • 10 grains of allspice
  • 1 tsp clove(s)
  • 4 bags of gelatin, ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Bring vinegar and water to a boil in a pot, then add salt, sugar, mustard seeds, peppercorns, bay leaves, allspice berries, and cloves. Add the meat and simmer in the broth until tender, about 1.5 hours. Remove from the pan and, once cooled, slice. Strain the broth through a sieve. Allow the gelatin to swell according to the instructions and dissolve it in the hot broth. Place the meat slices in a bowl and pour the broth over them. Allow to cool, then refrigerate until the broth has set. Serve with fried potatoes.
