Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg apples, peeled and diced
  • 500 g gelling sugar
  • 100 ml rum
  • 50 g raisins
  • 50 g almond(s), chopped
  • 2 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • some lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Drizzle the diced apples with lemon juice and then let them sit with the gelling sugar overnight. This is best done in a cool place. The next day, mash the apples again, e.g., with a potato masher. Soak the raisins in the rum. Then heat the apples in a saucepan with the chopped almonds, raisins, cinnamon sticks, and vanilla pod. Bring to a boil, then simmer for about 8 minutes. Finally, transfer everything to jam jars, seal, turn upside down for about 10 minutes, and then turn them upside down again. The jam will keep for about six months.
