Grandma's potato pancakes

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg potatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 ml oil
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the potatoes and wash them under cold water. Dry them with kitchen paper. Grate them on the fine side of a grater into a bowl. Peel the onions and grate them as well. Crack in the eggs. Season with salt and mix well. Heat the oil in a pan. Add the batter by the spoonful. Spread into smooth, small, and as thin as possible flatbreads. Fry for 3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the pan. Drain the oil. Serve immediately.
