  • 500 g bacon, diced, or other raw smoked ham
  • 2 large onions, diced
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Caraway powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Potatoes with bacon and onion sauce

Boil the potatoes as usual. In the meantime, fry the bacon and onion cubes. Deglaze with a little of the cooking water from the now-cooked potatoes. Enough to make a nice gravy. Season well with salt (carefully, as the bacon is already salty), pepper, and a little ground caraway. Drain the potatoes completely and toss with the bacon and onion sauce. Meatballs are especially delicious with this dish.
