Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 1 kg pork belly, without rind
  • 1 ½ liters of water
  • some salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp marjoram, dried
  • 1 large onion(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cut the pork belly into slices about 1 cm thick and place in a pot. Add water, spices, and the coarsely chopped onion, bring to a boil, and simmer gently for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. The water should not boil during this time, but only simmer gently. Boiled potatoes and sauerkraut complete the meal.
