Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
layered meat with delicious stock
Season the meat slices and layer them vertically, alternating with the onions, cheese, and ham, in a baking dish that’s as narrow as possible. Lightly shake the cups of cream and spread them over the layered meat. Sprinkle with grated cheese and cook in the oven at 160°C for 45-60 minutes, depending on the meat. Once the meat is cooked, you can drain the stock and thicken it, or leave it as is. It goes well with glazed potatoes, spaetzle, or dumplings, and a salad. Any meat can be used; beef is also suitable, but it takes a little longer.
