Tomato and mozzarella on Maultaschen

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 360 g Maultasche(s)
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 125g mozzarella
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 onion(s), optional
  • e.g. basil
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 1 dash of olive oil or other oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Slice the tomatoes, then peel and finely slice or chop the garlic and slice the mozzarella. Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Add a splash of oil to a casserole dish, place the Maultaschen (ravioli) in the dish, and arrange the tomatoes on top. Sprinkle the garlic and plenty of basil over the tomatoes. If desired, you can also add a few onion rings. Cover with the mozzarella slices, season with salt and pepper, and place the casserole dish in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes. Serve with a chilled rosé wine. Alternatively, this recipe can also be prepared in a covered pan.
