Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg wheat flour
  • 2 cubes of yeast
  • 40 g sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 500 g raisins
  • 500 ml buttermilk, room temperature
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

with raisins

Dissolve the yeast in a cup with lukewarm milk and a little sugar and let it rise. Mix the remaining ingredients, except the raisins. Add the risen yeast and knead everything thoroughly. Then knead in the raisins. Pour the dough into a large, well-greased baking pan or a saucepan of at least 3 liters and let it rise for about 15 minutes. Score the top. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for 35 minutes. Cover the dough for the first half of the baking time, making sure the lid or aluminum foil is also greased. Bake uncovered for the remainder of the baking time. Test for doneness.
