Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 bag of sour beans (available as a commercial product only in some regions of Germany)
- 4 large potatoes
- 1 onion(s), diced
- 500 g thick rib, fresh or fresh bacon or smoked pork
- some lard
- pepper
- 1 cube of bouillon
- some savory
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Peel the potatoes, boil them in salted water, drain, and mash them. Heat a little lard in a pot and brown the onions until light brown. Add a little water, dissolve the bouillon cube, and sauté the sour beans and meat. Season with pepper and savory. When the meat is cooked, remove it from the pot, remove any bones or gristle, and dice the meat. Mix the potatoes with the beans and fold in the meat. Serve on plates.
