Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg carrot(s), parsley roots, parsnips, celery (roots as desired)
- 2 kg potatoes
- 6 sausages (Mettenden, cooked sausages)
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 pack of parsley, frozen
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Stew for cold days
Peel the potatoes and root vegetables and dice them. Place them in a pot of water with the sausages and boil until tender. Remove the sausages and mash the potatoes and root vegetables (do not puree them). Add the parsley and season with sugar, pepper, and salt. The root vegetable stew should taste slightly spicy and sweet when cooked, which is just right. Serve with the sausages.
