Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 350 g beef liver slices
- some flour for dusting
- Pepper, freshly ground
- 150 g onion(s), cut into strips
- some butter for frying
- 150 g beef broth, possibly made with stock cubes
- 150 g crème fraîche or smetana
- some sauce thickener, light
- Salt and pepper, freshly ground
- 2 tbsp parsley, freshly chopped

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 7 minutes; Total time approx. 17 minutes

Fry the onion strips in a pan with a little butter until golden brown and season lightly. Keep warm. Coat the liver slices in flour and fry in butter for about 1.5 minutes on each side, then remove. Add the broth and sour cream to the pan, thicken slightly, and season lightly. Add the liver slices and simmer gently for about 4-5 minutes. Place the liver on the plates, scatter the onions over them, and cover with the sauce. Sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve with fried or boiled potatoes.
