Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g beef fillet(s)
  • 2 onions
  • 4 gherkins
  • 1 can mushrooms, or equivalent amount of fresh
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 250 ml broth
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 100 ml white wine
  • salt and pepper
  • Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Dice the onions, fry in oil, and dust with flour. Deglaze with the stock, stir well, then add the wine and the finely chopped cucumbers and mushrooms. Add the cream and sour cream, simmer briefly, and season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Now cut the meat into thin strips, season with salt and pepper, sear in batches in a little oil, and then add to the sauce. Loosen the cooking juices with a splash of wine or water and add to the sauce. Bring to a boil briefly, season again to taste. We like it best with rice. A little tip: I often use turkey instead of beef, and if you replace the cream and sour cream with something lighter (crème légère) and use vegetable stock, the recipe is WW-compatible.
