Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g beef fillet(s), cut into strips, make sure the meat is of good quality!
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 gherkins, halved, thinly sliced
  • 250 g fresh mushrooms, halved and sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 200 ml dry white wine
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 200 g crème fraîche

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Heat the butter in a pan and fry the onions until translucent. Add the mushrooms and fry, then transfer the mixture to a bowl. Heat the oil in the same pan and sear the meat on all sides, then season with salt and pepper. Stir the mushroom mixture and gherkins into the meat, pour in the white wine, and bring to a boil. Immediately reduce the heat to low and season with the spices. Stir in the crème fraîche and serve the beef stroganoff with rice on the side.
