Dessert made from milkmaid and lemons

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 cups of sweet cream
  • 2 cans condensed milk, sweetened (Milkmaid)
  • 1 package of biscuits (butter biscuits)
  • 2 lemon(s), the juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Lemon and Mocha Bread

Crumble and break up the butter biscuits. Then line a glass dish with them. It’s best to use a round dish that isn’t too big. Mix the 2 cups of cream with the 2 cans of Milchmädchen well. Use a mixer for this. Slowly add the lemon juice. Continue mixing everything with the mixer; the lemon juice will harden the mixture. Now spread this mixture on the bed of biscuits and then place in the refrigerator. Let it sit overnight before serving, ideally. Notes: Here in Germany, I used 3 large lemons until the mixture had hardened sufficiently. In Brazil, I had to use 6 until I achieved the desired result. This naturally increases the acidity in the dish. But that’s not a bad thing; the interplay of strong sweetness and the lemon flavor is unique.
