Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g chicken breast
  • 3 bell peppers
  • 2 onions
  • 300 g cream cheese
  • 1 pack of tortillas, 6 pieces
  • salt and pepper
  • garlic powder
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • some oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Latin American, with chicken

Roughly dice the onions and fry in a pan with a little oil until dark brown, about 30 minutes on low heat. In the meantime, cut the bell peppers and chicken breast into bite-sized pieces. Place the cream cheese in a bowl and mix with the browned onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste and let it simmer. Briefly sear the chicken in the same pan, then finish cooking it in a small pan with the bell peppers. The bell peppers should still be crunchy. Add a little water to the meat and vegetables, so that a layer of water about 1 cm deep collects at the bottom. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic. Finally, season with a generous amount of paprika to taste; it should be slightly spicy. Heat the tortillas in the microwave. Take 1-2 tablespoons of the onion and cream cheese mixture and spread it on the flatbread. Top with the meat and vegetables and the spicy sauce, as desired. Eat with a knife and fork or fold on opposite sides and enjoy with your hands.
