Marzipan shortbread

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 200 g butter
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • ½ packet of vanilla sugar (bourbon vanilla sugar)
  • 100 g marzipan – raw mass
  • ½ pack flavoring (orange flavor)
  • 3 tbsp chocolate, grated
  • 50 g dark chocolate

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

with orange flavor

Heat the butter and cream it in a bowl with the powdered sugar and bourbon vanilla sugar until light and fluffy, then stir in the flour. Halve the dough and form two rolls, each approximately 25 cm long, on two pieces of foil (e.g., cut open freezer bags). Use the handle of a wooden spoon to make a hollow in the middle. Preheat oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Grate the chocolate and knead it with the marzipan and orange flavoring. Form this into two rolls, each approximately 25 cm long. Place each marzipan roll in the dough well and seal it over the marzipan, using the foil to shape it into a square. Cut into approximately 1 cm thick slices and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake on the middle rack of the oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove the baked shortbread from the oven and allow to cool. Melt the chocolate for decoration and decorate the shortbread with it (either dip it completely, but this is very rich, or stripes are enough).
