Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 2 ½ kg orange(s), organic
- 500 ml orange juice concentrate
- 4 packs of gelling sugar 2:1
- 3 packets of vanilla sugar
- 100 ml lemon juice
Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Peel the orange zest and place it in a large saucepan. Remove the white pith and the white core from the center of the oranges. Dice the oranges and add them to the pan. Then puree everything finely. Add the orange and lemon juice, mix, and heat gently. Add the vanilla sugar and gelling sugar, stirring well after each packet to dissolve the sugar. Let the mixture boil for 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and skim off the foam. Don’t throw away the foam; it can also be used as a spread. Then fill the jam into jam jars and immediately turn upside down (with the lid on) for 10 minutes. Then turn the jars upside down and let cool. The jam tastes like sunshine in a jar from darkest Peru.
