Ingredients for 32 servings:

  • 200 g butter
  • 200 g chocolate, semi-sweet
  • 150 g ground walnuts
  • 160 g flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • 100 g sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • Chocolate for decoration

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Mix the nuts, cinnamon, and flour. Cream the butter with half of the powdered sugar until fluffy. Separate the eggs. Slowly whisk the egg yolks and melted chocolate into a foam. Then combine everything with the flour and nut mixture. Beat the egg whites with the sugar until stiff peaks form and fold in. Spread the batter evenly on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for 20 minutes at 200°C (400°F). Let cool, cut into squares, glaze with the remaining powdered sugar, and decorate with the chocolate decorations.
