Spaghetti with Fruits from the Sea

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 500g spaghetti
  • 500 g mixed seafood (shrimp, mussels, squid), frozen
  • 250 g king prawns, frozen
  • 200 g surimi (crab meat substitute), in rolls
  • 3 garlic cloves, fresh
  • 1 pack of tomatoes, pureed
  • basil
  • herbs, Italian
  • 1 chili pepper(s), dried or fresh
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Pasta with seafood like at your favorite Italian restaurant

Add the spaghetti to boiling salted water and cook until al dente. Heat the olive oil in a large pan. Crush the garlic cloves and add them to the heated oil. Add the frozen seafood mix and the shrimp and cook until the liquid has almost completely evaporated. Finely chop the chili pepper. Add the pureed tomatoes, basil, chili pieces, and Italian herbs, and season with salt and pepper. Once the pasta is cooked, drain and immediately toss it in the pan with the sauce. Finally, stir in the finely chopped surimi.
