Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g turkey breast
  • 3 onions
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 1 cucumber(s)
  • 3 sprigs of dill
  • 500 g yogurt
  • salt and pepper
  • some lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • n. B. Spice mix for gyros (spice flavor salt)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

low-fat, garlic-free version

For the gyros, wash the turkey breast and pat it dry. Cut the meat into very thin slices. Peel the onions and slice 2 of them into rings. Trim, wash, and finely slice the bell pepper. For the tzatziki, coarsely grate the cucumber. Squeeze the grated cucumber into a tea towel. Finely dice the remaining onion. Wash and chop the dill (tip: you can, of course, also use frozen dill). Mix together the grated cucumber, diced onion, dill, and yogurt. Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan. Fry the onion rings, bell pepper strips, and turkey meat over high heat for about 7 minutes, stirring constantly. Season with salt to taste. Rice goes very well with this dish.
