Halvah with cocoa

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 cup(s) sesame seeds (sometimes I toasted them a little, without fat)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ¼ tsp vanilla sugar, bourbon
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

gluten-free / egg-free / dairy-free

Grind sesame seeds and “process into nut butter,” similar to marzipan. Gradually add honey until you have a sticky, moist mixture. Add vanilla to taste. “Chocolate halvah”: Add cocoa powder, but do not mix thoroughly, so the mixture looks marbled. Press into a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for at least one hour. Serve in cubes or slices.
