Spaghetti Carbonara

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 150 g bacon, streaky
  • 150 ml whipped cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 500g spaghetti
  • 125 g Parmesan, freshly grated
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • pepper, black

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water according to the package instructions. Cut the bacon into strips. Fry in a pan until crispy and keep warm. Whisk the cream with the eggs and cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Drain the pasta and toss it in the pan with the bacon (I always use a large pan so nothing spills). Add the egg and cream and mix thoroughly. Let it set slightly, then sprinkle with plenty of black pepper to serve. This recipe is a favorite with my two children, and it’s quick and easy to make.
