Pasta Carbonara

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500g spaghetti
  • 250 g bacon, lean
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • e.g. basil
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 5 tbsp cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the spaghetti in plenty of water for 8 minutes until al dente. Tip: Only add the salt and oil to the pasta water once it’s already boiling. Peel and chop the garlic and dice the bacon. Sauté both in hot olive oil (preferably in a large pan). Season with salt and pepper, and add the basil. Add the al dente spaghetti to the pan. Crack the eggs over it and pour in the cream. Mix everything together and let the sauce set for a minute. Serve immediately.
