Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 small onion(s)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 garlic clove(s)
- 400 g tomatoes, peeled
- Salt and pepper, black from the mill
- ½ tsp basil, chopped
- ½ tsp thyme, chopped
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Peel and finely dice the onion. Heat the oil in a saucepan until softened, gently frying the onion until translucent. Add the peeled garlic. Add the crushed tomatoes in their juice. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, basil, thyme, and tomato paste and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
