Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 slices of veal knuckle
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 200 ml Marsala
  • ¼ liter broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • salt and pepper
  • Thyme

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Season the veal shank slices with salt and pepper on both sides. Brown them in hot fat in a roasting pan on both sides. Dice the onion and brown them. Stir in the tomato paste, fry briefly, then deglaze with Marsala and stock. Add the thyme and season with pepper. Cover and braise in the oven at 200°C for 1 to 1.5 hours. Serve with tagliatelle, Italian bread, and fresh spinach or zucchini.
