Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 pieces of bread, dried Italian (Friselle)
- 4 tomatoes
- 1 onion(s)
- some olive oil
- some vinegar
- some salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Southern Italian snack or starter
Peel the onion. Finely dice the tomatoes and onion, place them in a bowl, and toss with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper. In a second, wide bowl, mix a little water with a splash of vinegar. Let the friselle soak for a short time to soften. Place the friselle on plates, divide the tomato and onion mixture evenly between them, drizzle with a little olive oil, and serve.
