Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500g mozzarella
- 1 small white bread stick(s)
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp milk
- some salt and pepper
- Fat, for frying

Mozzarella in Carozza
Cut the bread so that two slices are still connected at the bottom (don’t cut too thick slices). Cut the mozzarella into smaller slices and sandwich them between the slices. Toss several times in the mixture of eggs, flour, milk, and spices to ensure it is fully coated. Deep-fry in hot oil and serve immediately. Serve with a tomato salad and plenty of fresh basil.
