Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 bunch spring onions
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • some salt
  • some balsamic vinegar, red and relatively sweet
  • some olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Clean the spring onions, trim the green parts after about 10 to 15 cm, and halve or quarter the onions lengthwise, depending on their size. Sauté in a little olive oil over low heat until the cut surfaces are golden brown. Turn over and sauté the remaining surface in the same way. Arrange in a dish, sprinkle with salt and pepper, season with balsamic vinegar to taste, and drizzle with a little olive oil. Let it marinate. Slice the green parts into thin rings and use for another purpose.
