Sardinian meatballs

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 10 green olives stuffed with peppers
  • 2 eggs
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 5 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 beefsteak tomatoes
  • 1 bunch of basil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel the onion and garlic cloves and dice them into small cubes. Slice the olives. Mix everything with the breadcrumbs, eggs, and ground beef. Season generously with salt and pepper. Form the beef mixture into balls, then flatten them slightly to create “biscuits.” Fry in a pan, then remove and keep warm. Slice the tomatoes and fry in the fat. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with the beef patties and garnish with basil.
