Lasagna with cottage cheese

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced beef
  • 800 g tomato sauce
  • 3 eggs
  • 500 g cottage cheese
  • 500 g cheese, grated
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tbsp basil
  • Lasagna sheet(s)
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

First, prepare the cottage cheese mixture. To do this, whisk the eggs with the cottage cheese, Parmesan, and basil. Then brown the beef and add the tomato sauce. Cover the bottom of a rectangular baking dish with some of the meat sauce and place a layer of pasta on top. Add about half of the cottage cheese mixture and a little sauce. Then add another layer of pasta, 1/3 of the grated cheese, and some of the sauce. Cover everything with pasta again and spread the remaining cottage cheese mixture, 1/3 of the grated cheese, and a little more sauce on top. Then add a final layer of pasta and cover well with the remaining sauce. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and place it in the oven at 180°C (fan oven) for 45 minutes. Then remove the aluminum foil, spread the remaining grated cheese over the lasagna, and return it to the oven for another 15 minutes. If you like zucchini, you can also replace one layer of pasta with a layer of thin zucchini slices.
