Asian sweet and sour sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 tbsp honey (flower honey)
  • 4 tbsp vinegar (fruit vinegar)
  • 3 tsp tomato paste, 3-fold concentrated
  • Sugar, to taste
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp sherry
  • 2 tbsp oil (sesame oil)
  • 75 ml water
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp pineapple pieces, finely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Mix the starch with the water until smooth. Stir all other ingredients in a saucepan until smooth. Heat, add the starch-water mixture, and bring to a boil. This sauce is perfect for any Asian dish that requires a sweet and sour flavor.
